Open Source RVA presents:

On today’s episode of Open Source RVA, we speak with JL Hodges, James Mason and Alex Spalding of the acclaimed Richmond-based rock band Avers, which is releasing a new album (“Omega/Whatever”) today with a special performance at the Broadberry tonight. We also tell you about an upcoming recreation of the four mile Lunenburg County march of 1965 that sought to expand African-American voter registration. Organizer Wanda Morrison joins guest host Dale Brumfield to talk about this important, if little known, Virginia Civil Rights milestone. We’ll also present another special installment of Curtain Call, the biweekly segment on the comings and goings of Richmond’s theater scene, brought to you by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle and featuring Sifter’s Jerry Williams and Style Weekly’s Rich Griset. Your Source is waiting! Listen to Richmond’s audio news digest at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org/
