On today’s episode of Open Source RVA, we speak with JL Hodges, James Mason and Alex Spalding of the acclaimed Richmond-based rock band Avers, which is releasing a new album (“Omega/Whatever”) today with a special performance at the Broadberry tonight. We also tell you about an upcoming recreation of the four mile Lunenburg County march of 1965 that sought to expand African-American voter registration. Organizer Wanda Morrison joins guest host Dale Brumfield to talk about this important, if little known, Virginia Civil Rights milestone.
