Open Source RVA presents:

SCIENCE AND SUDS On today’s Open Source RVA, we welcome Cynthia Gibbs, the spark plug behind Science Pub RVA, which holds informative public meet ups about scientific topics with renowned local scientists in local pubs and coffeehouses (you know, where the people are). The next Science Club RVA gathering is at the Camel on March 27 with a talk about the neutron with Dr. Narbe Kalantarians, Assistant Professor of Physics at Virginia Union University. Gibbs talks to producer Krysti Albus on the state of American science research, and speaks about the upcoming March for Science in DC on April 22. And guest host Kate Andrews welcomes Randolph Macon College instructor Jennifer Shotwell, who started a illustrated children’s book project with her French students called Little French Books. One of those creative students, sophomore Joe McBride, also joins in. And, in the first of a multi-part series, we also check in with the kids associated with the CHISPA Project. GET YOUR SOURCE WHILE IT’S HOT! Listen to Richmond’s audio news digest today at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org. (Image: Science Pub RVA)
