Open Source RVA presents:

On Friday’s edition of Open Source RVA on 97.3 FM, we are proud to present part one of an original audio special by WRIR’s own Jon Harper, called “Your Music Doesn’t Matter: A Documentary About Carol Taylor.” This audio documentary on the life and career of a legendary female disc jockey who is still inspiring people two decades after her death will conclude with part two next week. We also have another dramatic installment of Curtain Call, our bi-weekly segment on Richmond’s thriving thespian scene, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, reviewers Jerry Williams, Claire Boswell and Rich Griset review “Beauty and the Beast” at Virginia Rep and “A Kid Like Jake” at Richmond Triangle Players. And hold on to your Public Comment period! RVA Dirt’s Jessee Perry and Melissa Vaughn review the intense feedback found at this past Monday’s Richmond City Council meeting on their latest “Quick and Dirty Council Roundup.” Hear it all today at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org. Oh yeah, and it’s pledge drive time at WRIR. Call 804-622-9747 or go online to wrir.org and make YOUR monetary donation to help keep Open Source RVA and the rest of WRIR’s locally-produced news-talk programming on the air.
