Open Source RVA presents:

On today’s episode of Open Source RVA on WRIR 97.3 FM, Piet E Jones returns with the show’s monthly food segment, Open Face. This time, he welcomes John Maher of the The Rogue Gentlemen and Yaki, and Drew Thomasson of Metzger Bar and Butchery, for a discussion about cocktails, free bread and the duo’s New Year’s Eve wedding ceremony (they were married by Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney in his first official act). And who doesn’t LOVE to be micromanaged? Melissa Vaughn from RVA Dirt returns with a solo installment of the Quick and Dirty Council Report that is filled with catfights, pencil counting, heavy sighs and, yes, the return of those annoying Ginter Park NIMBY’s. And we also welcome a fresh new episode of Curtain Call, our biweekly look at Richmond’s stage scene produced by the Richmond Theater Critics Circle. This week, Jerry Williams, Claire Boswell and Rich Griset review Cadence Theatre Company’s production of “Rabbit Hole,” and talk about CAT Theatre’s Bifocals Theatre Company with producer Pat Walker. Oh yes, and show producer Krysti Albus fires the entire Open Source RVA staff via a sweeping, and dare we say sketchy and quite possibly illegal, executive order. Sad. Won’t you try our special Source today? Listen in at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org.
