Open Source RVA presents:

THE CHERRY PIE IN THIS SOURCE IS WORTH A STOP! On today’s Open Source RVA, we host a no-holds-barred “Twin Peaks” summit. There are all kinds of local events coinciding with the impending reboot of the cult TV series and its creator, David Lynch, and correspondent Kate Andrews explores the phenomenon. Joining in are Zhora Nova and Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside,(performing in a David Lynch Burlesque Show on May 27th), James Parrish from the Bijou Film Center (screening David Lynch: The Art Life this weekend), Andrew Blossom (curating the Great Southern Festival n August), and Tracy Wilson aka Lightning’s Girl, a longtime Twin Peaks fan. …and hide your rubles as vodka takes over Scotch and Reason! In a most timely installment of our monthly political roundtable segment, comrade Don Mears talks all things Russia with political commentator Shaun Kinney, Caroline Orr (you know her best as RVAWonk), businessman Charlie Diradour and Source host emeritus Chris Dovi. All of that PLUS Sifter’s Jerry Williams drops by to talk about his forthcoming Dirtwoman documentary, and a public gathering on Sunday at Sound of Music where you can share your stories about the legendary Donnie Corker a.k.a. Dirtwoman. TECHNICALLY, THIS IS TOO MUCH SHOW. Take it all in and check it all out at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org.
