• This SATURDAY! Monster Mashquerade!

The Reverend Fra Diavolo, and Sister Puttanesca will hear your confessions to kick off your Halloween weekend.

On today’s edition of Richmond’s audio news digest, we continue our series of one-on-one interviews with Richmond-area political candidates. We talk with fourth district city council hopeful Kristen Larson (pictured) about how her stint on Richmond’s school board has helped to prepare her for a seat on council. And we also welcome 7th district school board candidate Kirsten Gray as she talks about how basic things — such as hiring and retaining teachers — needs to come before big shiny projects. We also present another thrill-packed installment of Curtain Call, the biweekly segment on Richmond’s thriving theater scene produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, the critics will review “John,” the Cadence Theatre production now running at Virginia Rep, and interview Keri Wormald, the director of TheatreLab’s production of “Mother Courage.” Listen in at 2PM to Open Source RVA on WRIR 97.3 FM and

Hello babes of the capital city!
Zodiac Audio Almanac signed a new lease on the Friday 1 AM-3 AM slot.
I’ll miss my 3-6 AM witching hour show dearly in a way, but I’m honored to bring star talk ‘n toonz to a new time.

Tonight on The Almanac, it’s all about Scorpios, as this show is the first in the sign of Scorpio.
No guest, unfortunately, but maybe I can wrangle a Scorpion on here for an interview in the coming weeks…elusive though, those Scorpions.

Miss anything? Loved it so much you just HAVE to hear it again?

No, this is not Paul’s Boutique …

Your support keeps us on the air. I’ll keep doing what I always do and play new music from Tami Neilson, Marching Church, Lorelle Metts the Obsolete, Rats on Rafts, TOY and Benoit Pioulard.

With my favorite holiday just around the bend, this week is filled with creepy, kooky, altogether ooky shows. This includes WRIR’s 9th Annual Monster Mashquerade (pictured), the 10th Anniversary of Silent Music Revival, and a screening of Pet Sematary, all of which I’ll preview starting at 5pm. Plus, I’ll give away tickets to see AJJ (formerly Andrew Jackson Jihad) at The Broadberry and Creepoid at Gallery 5!

Welcome to The Commonwealth of Notions! Yesterday, I turned 33 and I am going to continue the celebration through today’s episode of the show. I’ll be playing a bit of local music. Honestly, I am going to just play what I consider to be a number of my favorite songs ever written. Enjoy!
