Big doings are happening for Richmond’s well loved Senator Tim Kaine.  Tim was instrumental in the creation of WRIR (Tim was City Mayor at time the station founders were seeking our FCC license), and Tim’s love of music is such that he could easily disc jockey a show here.  So with reference to Tim’s musical taste, and his Roman Catholic faith, tomorrow night’s Over the Edge of the Pop Narcotic will be  “catholic” in all of it’s meanings.   A night of great music, and Tim Kaine music related stories awaits.

It’s a sizzler today, but hopefully you’ll have enough energy left to at least do some toe-tappin’ along with today’s mix of Louisiana and related tunes. Grab a cold one (to stay hydrated, of course) and settle on back for today’s two-hour trip to the dance hall ….

Welcome to the hottest day of the summer here in Richmond so far this year. Find someplace cool; find something cold to drink; and then put your feet up and relax with two hours the best Americana/roots rock/alt-country music around. It’s time for the Lost Music Saloon.
