Transmissions from Satellite 973
DJ Sonrisa | 1:00 a.m.-3:00 a.m., Thursdays
In January 2013, WRIR-LP 97.3 FM sent Rachel Solomon (a.k.a. DJ Sonrisa) deep into the cosmos to gather sonic vibrations and futuristic undulations for distribution worldwide via satellite. Each Thursday, Sonrisa will share her findings in a 2 hour transmission from 01:00 to 03:00 EST.
You can likely anticipate turntablism, instrumental hip-hop, ambient grooves, electrifying beats, space rock, miscellaneous cosmic psychedelia and stellar prog.... but who knows what we'll encounter deep within the aural universe.
