Global A Go-Go : Friday August 8, 5-7 PM
Posted by Bill Lupoletti on 2008/8/8 7:50:00 (16 reads)

This week New Orleans' The Zydepunks are my guests in the studio, playing their mix of Cajun, Balkan, Irish, klezmer and punk (now that's a Global A Go-Go band!) live on the radio for your listening and dancing pleasure. Fresh off a European tour, they're playing in Richmond on Friday (at The Triple) and Saturday (at Poe's Pub) nights.

Also on this week's show: a new song from David Byrne & Brian Eno (I think they should collaborate at least once every 30 years), new music from "Techno Issa" Bagayogo of Mali, and a set of tunes to warm you up for The Zydepunks: Gogol Bordello, The Pogues, Manu Chao and more.

Click "Read More" for today's tracklist. And a recording of today's program is coming soon to this location.
