Party of One: “TV” on the Radio presents:
This week's record is not Marquis Moon. I've played that record through and through and I love it. Yet it never occurred to me to check out Adventure, Television's follow-up record, until suggested to me by an old friend a few weeks ago. Bands often have a hard time making a good second record–and for good reason: they've had their whole lives to come up with the first. And now they have to come up with the second within a year or so of the first one! Well, Television knocked it out of the park. This Adventure is a great one. And it'll take us right through the early days of Punk Rock–before it got all corrupted and codified. Tune in!
