Monday Breakfast Blend – Women Art Revolution presents:
There has not been much new music being released in the past two months, and my pile of new tunes has dwindled down to barely enough for a third of a show. So, instead of the usual, I’m pulling from my own collection to bring you two hours of cover songs.
For me, a good cover song is not a tribute/reproduction of the original recording. It works best when it’s coming from a different genre or style than the performer, who then makes the song their own. Like, taking a hair band song and turning it into a country western. Or a pop song turned punk.
I hope you enjoy this show as much as I enjoy sharing these songs with you!
