The Unquiet Grave presents:
Tonight on The Unquiet Grave (9-11pm right here on WRIR!), we take a look at the “humid” (as opposed to frost-bitten) sound of Hellenic Black Metal, or Greek black metal in its most distinctive, warm, melodic, drum machine-reliant style, embodied by the big three of the genre (Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia) and obscure, demos-only bands alike. We’ll also zoom out to check out Greek Black Metal in general, including bands who bucked the national sound to embrace other styles, and modern Greek acts doing their own, often non-traditional thing. Ελευθερία ή θάνατος!!!
