Slick Justice

 

I have my good friend,Tab, with me in the studio this afternoon. Tab was my upstairs neighbor when I first moved to Richmond 30 some odd years ago. We would hang out all afternoon on our front porch on the corner of Floyd and Belmont playing our guitars. He had just started playing guitar as a rehab exercise for a finger he had just broken, and was told that playing guitar would be a great therapy for the finger, and he’s never stopped playing since. He’s releasing his first album, Slick Justice, today, so I invited him to join me this afternoon to preview some tracks from the album (including one he wrote about me many years ago), and also asked him to come up with a playlist of songs to give us a glimpse into his musical id.
