What Wakes Me Up Episode 6 Veterans Tell Their Stories

Friends, to commemorate Veterans Day, 11/11, Episode 6 of What Wakes Me Up features the plight of military veterans in our communities. Two Veterans have cocreated this episode by generously telling their stories; one from the Vietnam War and one from the continuing war in the Middle East.

They independently related facts that are common to both their lives:

• Sharing their experiences helps other veterans, and themselves.
• War is just wrong, for so many reasons.
• The military misrepresented facts to them around enlistment and benefits.
• Getting help with mental health is difficult, stigmatized and inconsistent.
