Dream Girl Radio / EXT SRC presents:
For this episode I’m writing a letter to my past self. I’ve mentioned Roni Size & Reprazent’s “New Forms” being one of my gateways into electronic music back in the late 90’s before, but back then I didn’t have the proper resources to explore drum and bass further. I was blindly buying any CD that looked cool and ended up with a few duds. But now I’m here with the power of forums, music blogs, Discogs and recommendation algorithms on my side. Some of these tracks come from CDs in my collection, some are tracks I found just last week. So I hope you enjoy this overview of jazzy, experimental drum and bass that I missed out on as a kid.
