Alternative Milestones presents:
With March Madness in full force, I hope everyone’s bracket still shows signs of life.
Today’s Alternative Milestones playlist takes a little bit from March Madness. Everybody loves a tournament underdog, and I’ve chosen to focus the list away from the big hitters that had milestones this week in favor of some of the lower profile artists.
So rather than playing tracks from Pearl Jam, Genesis, Tears for Fears, Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M. and Duran Duran we’ll be hearing from the likes of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Cat Power, Soul Coughing, Porcupine Tree, Red House Painters and Waxahatchee.
I’ll have in memoriam tracks from Crowded House and Ian Dury, and we’ll celebrate birthdays with tracks from Nena and 808 State.
Let the madness continue!
