Alternative Milestones Episode 37 – Big Days, Pretty Nights!

A couple of weeks ago we had a day with 6 monster album release anniversaries.  Well, we have a couple of those this week.  October 4th 2019 had 10 milestones, October 5th 2004 had 14, October 6th had 9.

We’ll celebrate birthdays with tracks from Matthew Sweet, The Decemberists, PJ Harvey and Pet Shop Boys.  Fall is always a time for live albums and compilation releases for the upcoming holidays, and we’ve got some great compilation tracks this week including Smashing Pumpkins, Everclear and The Smithereens. We’ll hear milestone singles from Franz Ferdinand, Joy Division and Oasis.

Hoping to get a glimpse of Northern Lights tonight as they’re forecast to come this far south after a huge solar flare this week!
