Softlock presents:

It’s finally here…the finale of retrofemme (for now).

Ending with some PlayStation 2 goodness from Katamari and starting all the way back in 1996, retrofemme covers everything from Capcom Sound Team’s excursions into survival horror with Akari Kaida & Sayaka Fujita to intimate side excursions from Godzilla composer Michiru Oshima.

Two artist spotlights as well. The first comes from Noriko Matsueda whose style fusing orchestral with jazz began in 1995 with Front Mission and ended in 2003 with Final Fantasy X-2. The second comes from Jun Chikuma, sound artist and flutist whose club synthesis with the Bomberman series gets a healthy looksee.

Next week: all things Sega, from 1990 to 1999.
