Global A Go-GoGlobal A Go-Go: Friday December 30, 5-7 PM

This week I'll play 21 songs from this year that, for one reason or another, didn't make it onto my first two "Best of 2011" programs but I think merit another spin.

Some were released as singles or on EPs, so they didn't make it onto my album-based charts.  Many are the outstanding tracks on albums that didn't quite crack my top albums lists.  And a few are items from my favorite new releases and reissues of the year that I just didn't have time to play in the last two programs.

So let's call it "the best of the rest" — I think it's a good way to wrap up an outstanding year in the world of world music.
