Louisiana Dance Hall presents:
Creole accordionist Amede Ardoin is the feature tonight. Decades after his death a statue honoring him will be unveiled in Opelousas LA March 11. In the 1920s and ’30s his music could be said to “make women weep and men stop fighting”. You’ll hear some of his earliest recordings, as well as some brand new original songs from contemporary accordionist Jourdan Thibodeaux et les Rodailleurs – and a lively mix in between. Thanks for tuning in! ~ DJ Talia
