Breakfast Blend w/ Galaxy Girl & Friends presents:
Hi Everybody! It’s week *THREE* of Halloweeny music on the Thursday Blend, and also *WRIR Fall Fund Drive* week!
Our Fall Fund Drive is shorter this year. It’s only running until October 25, but we still have the same goal of raising $40,000. So if you can, please help us meet our goal to keep independent radio on the air.
You can make a secure payment online by going to http://www.wrir.org/station/donate/. There, you’ll also find details about the thank you gifts for our various donation levels. You can donate a lump sum at once, or spread your donation out every month.
I hope we can count on your support! Thank you again for listening to my show, and I hope you enjoy Halloweek #3!

Live Music Center of 2013 Fund Drive presents:
WRIR kicks off its March fund raising campaign in the community with an early evening show Friday, March 8 at Strange Matter (929 West Grace Street in Richmond’s Fan District). The three bands — Hoax Hunters, Sacred Teachers, and Brandi Price & Kyle Harris — each featuring members of Richmond group The Diamond Center — will take the stage at Strange Matter beginning at 5 PM.
On air, WRIR’s first fund drive show Friday evening features a live in studio performance on the WRIR show “Global A Go-Go“ by Quatro na Bossa, a bossa nova quartet featuring vocalist Laura Ann Singh. On Saturday afternoon March 9, League of Space Pirates (featuring Richmond graphic artist Noah Scalin) will perform on “River City Limits,” and, the following Sunday morning, the Jason Jenkins Quartet plays for WRIR’s “Bebop and Beyond.”
Nick Coward and The Last Battle will perform Wednesday March 13 at 7 PM in WRIR’s “Activate with Mike Rutz.” Organ Donor appears on “What the Fontaine” Friday, March 15.
