Tonight my theme is “THE OMEN”!!! I will be playing score from the original soundtrack and also I will be doing a block of goth/industrial music, where I will showcase songs from the new albums of THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE, STONEBURNER, AND CLAN OF XMOX. I will as always be playing HEAVY METAL, DARK ROCK, AND PUNK!!! So get ready for a KILLER SWEET NIGHT OF DARKNESS!!!

Volunteer as a WRIR Live Sound Engineer

 

Live Sound Engineers

Are you experienced with running a recording session or engineering a live band? Or are you interested in learning live sound in a real-world experience? Your talents will bring live music to the Richmond community. This is your chance to be a part of WRIR's Live Sound Engineers. All positions are volunteer. Internship credit is available. There is also potential to run sound in clubs for WRIR's many music events.

Skills: knowledge of using basic recording techniques, experience with at least an 8-channel mixer, familiarity with microphones and proper microphone placement, using Adobe Audition, ability to troubleshoot technical difficulties within a live broadcast setting

Training: A WRIR Live Engineer will train you on WRIR's equipment and computers. Most training will happen during the weekends and over a two month period. Once trained, you will be certified to run sound in WRIR's Live Room Studio

Location: WRIR studio

Time: Once trained, you will do sound engineering when needed. Usually 1-2 bands perform each week, mostly on weekends. Live talk shows happen during the weekdays.
