Honestly the moment we step on that plane at 23 Uhr is the moment we are going to step into another dimension. I’m imagining if Deutscher Jam was an airline what would that even look like haha. *Clears throat and sips a prosecco*This is you Captain Janell today you shall be flying with myself and Andrew our sexy flight attendant will ensure we have Ordnung in diesem Haus. Enjoy the chicness that you will be surrounded by. Grab something to sip on, I always say drink what you need to get ready for today’s vibe. Andrew will be popping prosecco for those ready to celebrate, and pouring stilles oder prickelndes to ensure no one is parched during the flight experience. We shall take off like a Rakette(Rocket) with the artist Rakede. This is going to be an experience you’ve never had before, but don’t be scared Deutscher Jam got you. Ein Erlebnis(An Experience)
Hallo ihr Suessen ! Mmm what are we in the mood for today? I mean…. are we in the mood to take the Show slow? Maybe speed it up? Get on the Autobahn and lose control? Oh man, so many different directions we could go into. Good! I truly like knowing I have options, that’s probably why each show is such a vibe. Again if you vibe with Deutscher Jam I already know you’re navigating on a different frequency than anyone else. I love it! Let’s explore Germany through music, and with my Gemini energy you already know we are going to do this in the art of storytelling.
Maybe I should be a painter, I simply love to paint a picture through words. By creating an atmosphere we can literally travel in a space that lives behind the eyes. Remember if you can see something behind the eyes you can defiantly see it in front of the eyes. The purpose of Deutscher Jam isn’t for you to travel through sound for two hours just to have you continue your day-day life. It’s to prepare for a crazy Erlebnis(Experience) you’re going to be a part of the day you decide to book that flight ;). One day we shall cross paths in Berlin, and at that point you’ll be fully prepared to take in the full Deutsches Erlebnis. We understand exploring a new language is always a little daunting, but no worries we got your back. Every level will be able to kick it with us, if it’s not with me then it’ll be my Berlin Co-Host Andrew taking you to the locations you need to dive into.

We have a flight to catch
Hallo ihr Suessen 😉 Willkommen zu unseren Deutscher Jam. Well as promised we are catching a flight to Germany, we shall start boarding at 23 Uhr and shall return back at 1 AM. 
Two hours may not seem like a lot but let me tell you that’ll be plenty of time to give you everything that you need. Especially since you’re catching Deutscher Jam auf’m Montag(on a Monday) the energy you’re getting should set the tone for the week. I like the concept of reminding us that we have a flight to catch, kind of makes it fun :). But we do! We have so much to see and to experience through sounds and the art of storytelling. So for those of you tuning in to get your weekly dose of Deutsch this is the perfect platform to help you practice.

Ping Pong: Berlin und Chemnitz
Hallo Leute! You know I have to give you what you need Jeden Freitag from 1-3PM. Also setzt euch hin(sit down) and get bequem(comfy). Typically when we begin the show we prepare for the take off, cruise over the Atlantic, to then land at Frankfurt Airport. But instead let’s explore the DACH(German Speaking Worlds) a little bit. 
Our layover is in Austria, more specific Vienna to be described as the Paris of the DACH. In this layover we shall hit a Lounge in the Sechsten Bezirk(6th District) a little Reggae blended with House and Hip-Hop never hurt anybody ;). Let’s sit down and explore what Austria is bringing to the table over a Hugo(Prosecco, Elderflower Sirup, Mint, Splash of Sparkling Water). Viennese style we’ll settle into the vibe of the show through sound and a created ambience. Once we wrap up that experience, the doors will open for us to explore the Deutsches Jungle. You will notice a game of Ping Pong being played between Chemnitz(East) and Berlin(West). Again we are diving in the Depths of Germany pulling away from its set Public Symbol. If you picture Germany as a Haus it may be Dorf like by design, but if you join me and Deutscher Jam we’ll take you around the back to give you exactly what you need to see from the country!

Hallo Leute! Today’s is a reminder that the genre of Hip-Hop was created mid-1970s by African Americans and Latinos on the East Coast of the United States a phenomenon that has swept the globe. It has core elements of DJ-ing, rapping, breakdancing, and graffiti – all of which has not only shaped, but diversified an ever-growing range of artistic, cultural, political, intellectual and social practices. 
Hip-Hop represents a remarkable contribution to world culture with its vision and message of changing the world not only locally and nationally but also globally. It has emerged as a culture that integrates and encourages innovative practices of expression, social identity just as much as political mobilization in countries. In regards to the world of Hip-Hop, it no longer is a dominating force in solely in the United States instead it has become a widespread practice of handling unity and oppression across the globe. Shifting the focus to the Hip-Hop scene in Germany, since the 2000s through Hip-Hop, Germany has transformed into a powerhouse!
