Finding Sounds presents:

Hello

We made it to episode 30. This episode features very talented visual and audio wizard, SA Mayer, who also happens to be a good friend of mine. For this one, his half of the show was a mix including some recent rare CD rips, chants from the Decrees, TNT Roots dub, and much more hidden gems, including 4 new productions by him. For my half, I did the usual–mostly newly released music from rare artists, mostly ambient but it gets groovy. There is a new Pinecone Moonshine release on there, and some deep-fried internet baile remixes. So its not too lofty. There is also no tracklist for this episode per SA’s request. Anyway, enjoy, thank you for listening. Happy to have made it this far. Is this thing on?

Much love,

deskulling

Dream Girl Radio / EXT SRC presents:

Today I’m digging into some UK garage tunes including some a few old favorites, a few recent favorites, and some newer tracks that I found while putting together this playlist. My introduction to British electronic music started with jungle and drum & bass. It wasn’t until later when I researched the origins of dubstep and grime that garage got my attention. Artists like Zed Bias (who has some broken beat roots) or Flava D (with connections to dubstep artists like Swindle and Silkie) became favorites of mine and garage quickly became a staple in my driving playlists. I hope you enjoy the show!

Finding Sounds presents:

Hello

Here we are with episode 29. The first hour of this show features Boëthius, an Ankara-based musician/composer. We go way back first making contact on the internet exchanging tunes and talking shop. I have always thoroughly enjoyed their music and energy. In his hour, he plays a selection of songs while over it he discusses music and it’s connectivity, sitting down versus standing up, and how crazy this all is.

The second hour features my label, formforum, and a mix I made only from tracks out on the platform. formforum is an open platform label, built off of the user-submissions and small networks of musicians internationally. There are many release on the label which you can find on bandcamp and soundcloud (and below). We have two compilation, ‘Deaccession Forms’ and an all snare sample compilation, ‘Snares’. formforum is nothing without its contributors and for that I am forever grateful for how this all worked out, and for the depth of people’s love for the music. Boëthius also just released an album via formforum called ‘Echoes’.

Enjoy the music, and thank you for listening
