First of all, I will give you my review of what was the best Skinny Puppy show I’ve ever seen! If you were there than you know what I mean, and if you weren’t than I apologize for the tears streaming down your face during my review!

Tomorrow night here in Richmond at Fallout, Rosegarden Funeral Party returns with Dead Cool and Tenderlash opening up, or you could head to the Norva in Norfolk and see The Church perform! Friday here in Richmond, Buck Gooter will be playing at Bandito’s! April 8th and 9th you can head on up to the 9:30 Club in D.C. and see Molchat Doma play a couple of shows! Vision Video returns to Richmond at the Richmond Music Hall with Urban Heat and Severed Skies opening up! This might be kind of old news by now, but I just learned a couple of days after my last Dog Germs show that Patrick Briggs, the singer for Psychotica, passed away at the end of December. So we’ll start tonight’s show paying tribute to Patrick Briggs by playing a few of his songs.

Athan Maroulis will be calling in for a live phone interview on tonight’s show! His band, NOIR, will be playing here in Richmond this coming Saturday at Fallout with Ships In The Night and Stephanie! Athan is a legendary singer who has been performing with some of the most recognized bands in the scene since the ’80s…Spahn Ranch, Fahrenheit 451, black tape for a blue girl (just to name a few)! And his current project, NOIR, has carried on that legacy for almost 10 years now! He’s also been a major player behind the scenes helping some of the biggest names in the scene today get their start early on!

Unfortunately Bauhaus has cancelled their tour…they would have been playing up in D.C. next week. But don’t worry, there are still plenty of amazing shows happening here in Richmond and in D.C. in the next couple of weeks! Tomorrow night here in Richmond Solar Fake, Matte Blvck, and Unheard Sirens Inc. will be at Fallout; on Friday, Roxy Music will be at the Capital One Arena up in D.C.; also on Friday in D.C., Shame will be playing at the Black Cat; September 17th here in Richmond at Fallout, Kite returns with SYZYGYX and Widow Rings opening up; also on the 17th up in D.C. at the Lincoln Theatre, Echo & The Bunnymen will be playing; and finally on September 20th here in Richmond, catch Wednesday 13 at the Canal Club! I’ll be playing tracks from all these great bands on tonight’s scattering of Dog Germs!
