Hi!
This week’s edition of RIVER CITY LIMITS features ONLY songs from this February! How about that?
Sort of. As is often the case, some of what Bandcamp tells us is ‘new’ is merely newly on Bandcamp. Some hasn’t been released yet! Somehow we got a Lousiana band in there, too. Plus the sting music is both neither a recent song nor a Richmond song.
Expectation management is an important life skill.
The subtext here being don’t yell at me, and also that *you* might hear *your* music on *this* radio station if you post it online. A lot of people living in Richmond look for music tagged with Richmond.
As a volunteer at WRIR I am not allowed to tell you what to do.
But I hope you keep creating. It touches more people than you’ll know.

It’s great to be back! I’ve definitely phoned it in more times than I can count this past summer with my series at WRIR. I want to thank all of the listeners and supporters for bearing with me while I played rerun after rerun of previous episodes. Things don’t always go as planned, so thank you also to the program organizers at the station as well for their patience and understanding. With this return-to-air episode I enlisted the musings of Aia. We talked a lot about her recent drops with her ”
Scat Packs”, the current state of R&B and Soul, as well as her up bringing musically and her education as a Jazz musician at Howard University. Along with a few choice drops from her, I decided to make this episode purely about dance and electronic music.
