The Rainbow Minute presents:

The Rainbow MinuteThe Rainbow Minute

Today on The Rainbow Minute at 8.59am, 12.29pm and 4.29pm, Josh Sturgill reads " The Huge Star Named Divine"

After  his outrageous success in the 1972 film, “Pink Flamingos,” Divine became a singer, performing camp stage and disco acts in San Francisco. Continuing his film work, he also performed in clubs worldwide and became famous in England, Australia, the Netherlands, Israel and the U.S.

In 1985, Divine even began a short recording career with, “Walk Like a Man” and “I’m So Beautiful,” popular both in the U.S. and abroad. As his popularity soared, he was a frequent guest on TV talk shows and appeared at special events. But with his weight now over 350 pounds, he had trouble completing concerts without lip-synching.
Divine’s plum Hollywood offer came in 1988 – dual roles in the hit sitcom, “Married With Children.”
No one could have guessed what that held in store.

All about that tomorrow…
