Today marks 25 years since the passing of one of the world's greatest musicians. Luambo Makiadi aka Franco. Founder and leader of one of the greatest bands of all time, Tout Puissant OK Jazz his influence in many parts of the world parallels that of Fela and James Brown.

We'll start off with a song of his  that is famous even in the west, featuring l'international pigeon voyageur Sam Mangwana in duet.

Follow it up with a song from Benin that shows a very strong OK Jazz influence.
