Lost Music Saloon: July 13, 2015: 5-7 p.m: 11th Anniversary Show + Steve Forbert presents:
Welcome to the 11th Anniversary of the Lost Music Saloon here on WRIR! It all started back in the summer of 2004 when I walked into the basement studio of a fledgling radio station that wasn't even on the air yet, to pitch a show that featured alternative-country, roots-rock, Americana & twang. It was just webcasting back in those days, and it would be another 6 months before 97.3 FM went out over the airwaves. I'll celebrate my anniversary by re-creating that very first show.
I'm also giving away two tickets to go see Steve Forbert at The Southern in Charlottesville TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 14. So stay tuned and when you hear a Steve Forbert tune (it's not on the playlist), you'll know it's time to call in.
Enjoy!
