Ambiance Congo / The Other Black Music presents:
With this famous image, “Sortie Entre Femmes, Les Nuits de Kinshasa” by the great Congolese photographer Jean Depara, I welcome you!
This week from 3:00-5:00 we present Ambiance Congo, next week, we present The Other Black Music. Whichever your favorite or if you like both programs, please consider donating today during our Spring Fund Drive.
Both programs bring you great music that you will, most likely, have little or no other opportunity to hear on radio or possibly anywhere else but here on WRIR.
This time I will be starting with some songs from the 1990s and 2000s, but you will also be treated to a variety of musical styles from the 1950s to today.
WRIR is all volunteer community radio that brings you under-represented music, news and views. We are your Emergency Broadcast station that keeps you informed and, in that way, we help to keep you safe.
Times are tough for all of us, but any donation will help to pay the bills and will definitely be appreciated.
THANK YOU!
