Open Source RVA presents:

THINK GLOBALLY, LISTEN LOCALLY! On Friday’s “Home and Away” edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM,  Dina Weinstein talks to Chef Hamid Noori, owner of the Afghan restaurant The Mantu. The Afghanistan refugee talks about ongoing efforts in the Richmond area to help expatriate afghans resettle in the U.S. after the Taliban’s takeover of the country. THEN Don Harrison speaks with Bruce Evans, co-organizer of the 2021 Richmond Home Show, which happens next weekend and brings a passel of home improvement experts  and products to the Richmond Raceway Complex.  We also have another star-studded installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle.  This week, Jerry Williams features the first of a two-part interview with Nathaniel Shaw and Vita Williams, the co-artistic directors of The New Theatre, an innovative new approach to the stage art. AND OH WOE! We also get jerked around by surly, critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Turd E. Coyote, but the less said about that, the better. THE SOURCE IS ON! Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
