Country Funk with DJ Miss Kitty

DJ Miss Kitty digs up some overlooked Country gems from the 70s & 80s that combine soul, blues, and funk into more edgy and catchy tunnnnnes. While today’s show includes a few well-known names like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton, it mostly draws on more obscure artists who sang about mamas, broken hearts, prison, and gettin’ drunk but made it fresh with strong rhythmic grooves and funky ass bass.
