Women & Politics presents:

Gray Montrose is an attorney and Henrico native who is running for Henrico Circuit Court Clerk. Gray’s career has been defined by public service. She worked with the Virginia Office of the Attorney General representing state agencies and taught policy at William & Mary Law School, while also giving back through pro bono service and advocacy. Gray was named a Mental Health Champion for her work on lowering barriers to care for law students and is a current member of the Virginia State Bar Board of Governors for the Environmental Section. She grew up in the West End of Henrico, then spent the past three years restoring a small farm in the East End where she now lives with her husband, baby Josephine, and a menagerie of farm animals.

Nancy Morgan, coordinator of the BigMoneyOutVA group, advocates for campaign finance reform, which includes passing a U.S. constitutional amendment to allow states and Congress to regulate election spending and getting Virginia, one of only 5 states with no limitations on campaign finance, to finally enact campaign finance legislation.   Her background, 20 years as an economist working for the United Nations on governance and food security issues, 10 years with USDA working on policy,  and 7 years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Africa, has promoted a commitment to  good governance and “getting money out of politics”.  She lives in Alexandria with her two cats.
