Alternative Milestones presents:
A heavy dose this week of Pop Punk and Ska bands including NOFX, Sum 41, The Planet Smashers, Yellowcard, Less Than Jake, Set Your Goals and Anberlin.
I never set out to ensure Canadian content (other than Rush of course), but 2 of those bands above are Canadian, and join Our Lady Peace and Alvvays in making this week a Canada-heavy one.
We’ve also got a couple of amazing days in the history of alternative music we’ll be highlighting this week, with 5 songs being played from 7/21/1999 and 7/22/2009.
Don’t forget you can follow along on my Facebook page – I post every milestone every day, and there’s always more than I have time to play. And if you see something you’re interested in, make a comment – a great way to ensure that a specific song gets played for an album’s anniversary or for an artist’s birthday. https://www.facebook.com/DrJayOnTheRadio/
