Open Source RVA presents:
LOCALLY SOURCED! On Friday’s Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Don Harrison talks SATAN with Mikki Brock, professor of history at Washington and Lee University and a scholar of demonology and witchcraft. She’ll be speaking of the devil and his impact on society at Gallery5 on Saturday as part of the venue’s Profs and Pints series. Then Dina Weinstein welcomes Nicole Duimstra and Narissa Turner of the Virginia Conservation Network. They talk about the climate issues the multi-member VCN is lobbying for in the current Virginia General Assembly session, and outline their concerns about Andrew Wheeler, Gov. Youngkin’s choice for Virginia Secretary of Natural Resources. AND HOW’S THIS FOR AN UP NOTE? Don also has a conversation with one of the world’s most celebrated classical violinists, Stefan Jackiw. The Richmond Symphony artist-in-residence will be performing in two Symphony Masterworks concerts next weekend at the Carpenter Theatre. IT’S A WHOLE LOTTA SOURCE! But you can handle it, right? Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
Playlist temporarily unavailable.
